This week, I wrote a blues tune. I started with a bass line and a part for the drums. Then, I added in a melody. Ambitiously, I plan to learn to play this piece (or at least some parts of it) when I have time. This influenced my composition quite a bit because I stuck to a more playable range and chose simple rhythms over more complicated ones to be kind to my future self.
